Somatic Archaeology
Somatic Archaeology is the practice of learning to listen to your body in an instinctual, primitive way, hearing what the body is asking for and reconciling. The body is holding stories, trauma, gifts and when we learn to listen in this unique, but basic way we can give the body what it is asking for. We can offer reconciliation, forgiveness, tears, anger and healing even if the story is that of a family member still living on this earth plane or an ancestor who has passed long ago.
Why do this sort of healing? It is the possibility for me to know that we could heal a history of patterns that plague our families, our communities, our world. That we could heal chronic, systemic conditions that would allow us to breathe deeper and live more fully in the present.
Birth Attendant Services
As a Birth Attendant, I provide non-medical emotional, physical, and spiritual support for families who are expecting a baby. I help parents to have the empowered and connected birth experience they desire, by providing prenatal education, labor/birth support, breast/chestfeeding support and postpartum care. As a birth attendant, I stay with birthing person continuously throughout labor and birth. I provide hands-on practical tools for relaxation, suggestions for labor progression and help navigating and advocating for the type of birth experience you chose in and out of medical settings. I offer loving guidance to help both parents more fully embrace the sacred experience of bringing their baby into the world.

There can be so many layers to navigate during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum time. Through Somatic Archaeology birthing parents can prepare themselves mentally and emotionally to release fear or other things that may prevent them from fully letting go during labor.
Doula services include: (1-2) consults during pregnancy for planning and education, hands on support during the labor and birth, and (1-2) postpartum follow-up visits. If additional visits are desired we can design birth attendant care that works for your family. In addition, Somatic Archeology is discounted to families I am supporting as a birth attendant.

Holding Sacred Space
Sacred space is the place where we invite our truest selves and where we get to speak our innermost feelings, be vulnerable, bare our souls. It allows us to bear witness to the experiences of others while being fully present. I hold sacred space for individuals or groups of people, so participants can heal, speak and share with more ease. Sacred space is different from the everyday space where distractions, checking out and moving without intention is common.
Sacred space is where I invite in the Holy, including Ancestors, Guides, Angels, Beloveds, the Elements and those things that you draw on for grounding, connection, and healing. It provides a container where we can draw upon helpers to support us instead of trying to use our own human energy to hold the container. This allows for energetic, physical, emotional and mental safety.
Sacred space is not just for ceremonies. I have created and held sacred space for birth, death, healing and reconciliation, as well as ceremonies. Opening sacred space can create a container for learning and difficult conversations. It connects and grounds those present as participants in the circle while keeping other energies out.
When I open sacred space, I allow my heart to be open and tap into my innate senses. This helps me to hold compassion even during difficult experiences. Opening sacred space allows us to lay down our judgements and rigid beliefs, allow energy to flow and to create understanding for one another.
